Biography
Bianca Elzenbaumer co-founded of Brave New Alps with Fabio Franz and is an Associate Professor at Leeds Arts University.
Brave New Alps combine design research methods with radical pedagogy, conflict mediation and DIY making. Brave New Alps explore how designers can contribute to create ecologically and socially just economies. Their current work include Mapping Eco-Social Design where they investigate the organisational structures that make transformative design practices viable and COMUNfARE, a practice-led research on commons and community economies in the Italian Alps.
