This presentation will focus on the idea of urban resources within the framework of the so-called knowledge and creative economy and the impact such policies and approaches have and will have on Berlin.

Biography

Dr. Bastian Lange is an urban and economic geographer whose works focuses on creative industries, civic governance and regional development. Bastian spearheads the research and strategic consultancy office Multiplicities-Berlin, which focuses on the analyses of socio-economic transformation in the creative knowledge age and its relationship to politics, industry and various maker scenes. Bastian holds a doctorate in geography and urban design from the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main and is a Fellow of the Georg Simmel Centre for Metropolitan Research at the Humboldt University in Berlin.
