Biography
Keith is a lecturer in criminology at Birmingham City University. His research examines the social consequences of surveillance and the impacts of security regimes on organisations and individuals. He has published work on aspects of CCTV, the social and economic impacts of surveillance technologies within the UK’s travel and financial sectors and research methodologies. He also co-authored the book ‘Private Security State? Surveillance, Consumer Data and the War on Terror’. Keith has worked on various research projects including the EPSRC funded project ‘Monetize Me’, the FP7 funded ‘Increasing Resilience In Surveillance Society’ and the Leverhulme funded ‘Talking Liberties: New Uses in UK Consumer Data’.
